Why Sacramento?

Why Forge loves Sacramento

Simply put, because we love it here.

Because of its richness in diversity, from the small town neighborhood vibe to the innovation and creativity of the The Grid.

Because we still ache from Robert Horry hitting that shot against the Kings in Game 4 in 2002 (that was our year!).

Because on our leadership team we have combined for over 100 years of stories, experiences, and memories of this area. With that kind of history, you care deeply for its renewal, redemption, and restoration.

Because when we say, “Thy kingdom come” we think of the politicians in the Capitol Building, the passion filled dreamers at our colleges and universities, and the broken lives that walk late at night on Auburn Boulevard.

Because we thoroughly enjoy all the local coffee shops, the food trucks, the great sushi and young culinary artists we’re privileged to live near.

Because we know about that one time John Travolta was here filming a movie, but nobody knows what movie it is.

Because everyone here knows we're 3037 miles from Ocean City, MD.

Because of the Sacramento and American rivers, Tower Bridge, and watching the River Cats and Republic FC play.

Because our former Mayor is a former NBA player and because we had a Governor who said "I'll Be Back."

Because of Oak Park, East Sac, Roseville, Foothill Farms, Citrus Heights, Land Park, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Curtis Park, Old Sac, Downtown, River Park, Midtown, West Sac, Natomas, Arden-Arcade, Carmichael and South Sac.

Because we’ve been SENT to Sacramento to “seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you...”

Because, again, we really love it here.
