TRAINING MEN AND WOMEN TO LIVE AS MISSIONARIES IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS
We’re now about ⅓ of the way through 2017, and we decided we’re way overdue for giving you an update about what’s been happening at Forge Sacramento. Do you agree?
So far, 2017 has been very different for Forge Sacramento than the last few years. By now, we’re sure you know that Jeremiah has stepped away from Forge to train for a new calling as a licensed therapist, and we (Joe and Sarah Caples) have stepped in to lead Forge Sacramento. If this is news to you, you can read Jeremiah’s January 22nd message here.
So, with that transition occupying much of our time and that of our leaders, we decided it would not be wise to try to squeeze a Missionary Formation Residency into this year. Instead, we have been focusing our efforts on some other key aspects of what Forge Sacramento does.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll send you some quick updates about what we’ve been up to. We’ll share some of the things we’ll be doing to better serve you and your church. And we’ll share some ways you can join with us.
For now we simply want to share a huge piece of our vision with you:
Our vision is to see every neighborhood in the Sacramento Area inhabited by trained missionaries helping all people to recognize God’s Kingdom and enjoy communion with Jesus Christ
If that’s something you want to be a part of, then stick with us.
And, feel free to reply to this email if you have any ideas or ways you’d like to help. Or, even just to say hi!
Joe and Sarah (and the whole Forge Sacramento Team)
The only reason Forge Sacramento is able to do the work we do in training men and women to live as missionaries in Sacramento is because of our generous donors. If you would like to support this ministry, please click the link below.
