Our story begins in a garden.
Jesus spends the night before his death in a garden.
When the resurrected Jesus meets Mary, she thinks He’s the, wait for it, the Gardener.
There’s something about the dirt, that material God used in order to create humankind.
In the Gospels, Jesus uses this dirt and His spit to heal a man from blindness. Though there’s much mystery to it, dirt matters to our faith.
We are proud to partner with our friends at The WordHouse, a missional community here in Sacramento, for a special event tomorrow night. Writer/Speaker/Local Missionary Sean Gladding will lead a discussion on the intersection of faith and the dirt we walk on. Sean, and his wife Rebecca, from Lexington, KY, have been hugely influential for Forge since its beginnings. They are wonderful people with a deep love for their neighborhood in the East End of Downtown Lexington.
We encourage you to meet some of our Forge tribe, and our good friends at The WordHouse, as they explore these issues impacting our lives in their FREE event called
